Thanks to the members and friends of First Baptist Church, Malden, MA. in helping prepare and serve meals every third Friday of the month at 3:00 p.m. Meal preparation begins at 3:00 p.m. and served at 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Our 54 Eastern Ave project brings all BOL programs under one roof – food pantries, evening meals, backpacks, teen center collaboration, motel shelter food provision, grocery delivery and food access – along with our offices and a multi-purpose hall for expanded programs. The project also provides 14 affordable studio apartments owned and operated by Metro North Housing Corp (MNHC)* to provide permanent housing for very low-income formerly homeless individuals.
Thank you for your support for this project to provide food security and permanent housing! We could not have done it without you!

The meals are open to anyone in need, including working people, senior citizens, families with children, unemployed, disabled or homeless. No reservation is required. You do not need to live in Malden. For more information, call Bread of Life at 781-397-0404, website link here.
We bring together a broad spectrum of races, ethnicities and nationalities. While meals are open to all, regardless of residence, more than half of those served are from Malden. The evening meals provide an ideal time for BOL to link local residents to additional resources, including healthcare and emergency fuel assistance.
BOL provides special celebration dinners for Thanksgiving, Christmas/Chanukah and Easter/Passover, which fills the gap left by no holiday Meals on Wheels deliveries to the elderly. BOL’s Thanksgiving and Christmas events in 2012, each served 900+ meals, including almost 200 meals delivered to homeless families in motels and 300 meals delivered to shut-in elderly residents. In addition, BOL distributed 400 turkeys to low-income families.
